Snow Leopard Trust supporter Emmanuel Keller sent us this wonderful video of Zoo Zurich’s snow leopard family. You can see Mother (Dshamilja), Father (Villy), and Daughter (two-month-old Kailash) spending some quality time together in their steep enclosure. These videos remind me about my exciting memmories of Hand Rearing of two orphaned Snow leopard cubs way back 1998 ,in the rmote Himalayan area of Lahaul in Himachal Pradesh.It is really a challenging job to handrear such aMajestic Species cub,which are not only precious from conservation point of view but also little known about the brhaviour of this ellusive King of Snowy Himalaya.My Hertiest congratulations to the whole team of the Zoo,for doing the job so wonderfully.
